Transmission line

The term 'Transmission line' as it applies to the area of energy can be defined as ' A set of conductors, insulators, supporting structures, and associated equipment used to move large quantities of power at high voltage, usually over long distances between a generating or receiving point and major substations or delivery points'.

The term 'Transmission line' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' Facility for transmitting electrical energy at high voltage from one point to another point. Transmission line voltages are normally 115 kilovolt or larger. See distribution line'.
